In 1919 the St. Louis Municipal Opera Theatre began its first season with a production of Robin Hood, featuring Mayor Henry Kiel as King Richard. The most expensive tickets were $6, and the cheapest were 25 cents. This cover, from the Missouri Historical Society Collections, was used throughout the season with varying color schemes: Robin Hood and Bohemian Girl had yellow covers, El Capitan and The Mikado had red covers, and the Wizard of the Nile and The Chimes of Normandy had orange covers.
