Ruth's River Dreams by Elizabeth Pickard
In Ruth’s River Dreams, children will learn how a young girl became fascinated with steamboats. She loved their beautiful colors and graceful shape and imagined herself embarking on great riverboat adventures. Ruth carried this love of boats into adulthood as a teacher and historian and continued to share and preserve the river and steamboat history of our region for the rest of her life.
This book is a companion to the Mighty Mississippi exhibit at the Missouri History Museum.
