St. Louis City Flag
The Saint Louis city flag has a solid red background with two wavy bars which symbolize the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers. A fleur-de-lis is placed over the point of confluence, recalling the city's French heritage and more particularly to St. Louis of France for whom it's named. The golden disk represents the Louisiana Purchase.
The flags colors recall those of Spain (red and yellow), Bourbon France (white and gold), Napoleonic and Republican France (blue, white, and red), and the United States of America, (red, white, and blue).
These flags have two grommets for display and are lightweight, so we recommend displaying them indoors to retain color saturation.
