When the Stars Came Out by Mark Pierce
Journalist and corporate communications leader Mark Pierce of Glen Carbon released "When The Stars Came Out: The Story of the Mississippi River Festival" on March 24. The book tells the story of the beloved music festival that commenced on the SIUE campus the summer of 1969.
Pierce is an SIUE graduate who loves music and has connections with many who played pivotal roles in the Mississippi River Festival story.
