This hardcover details the life of civil rights activist, Frankie Muse Freeman as told by the woman herself.  As lead attorney, Frankie Freeman secured victory in a 1954 St. Louis case against The St. Louis Housing Authority, stopping legal discrimination of African Americans. In addition, she was the first woman appointed by President Lyndon B. Johnson to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights in 1964. In 2007, she was inducted to the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame.
